PUNDERDOME®, NYC’s Most Puntastic Competition, is a wild & crazy monthly frequently sold-out SRO pun competition hosted by father-alleged daughter duo – self-proclaimed “Rodney Dangerfield impersonator” Fred Firestone and comedian Jo Firestone.

The first 18 individuals/duos to sign-up at the door will have a chance to participate in competitive spontaneous pun-making. Pun-masters are determined by the “human clap-o-meter” who “accurately and scientifically” assesses levels of audience applause.

Great big kitchen appliance mystery prizes are awarded to the top two competitors. Warning for the faint of heart: the ‘Dome is a spectator sport — decide to attend at your own risk! Littlefield, Brooklyn. First Tuesday of every month.

The New York Times: “(Punderdome®) is both an endearingly homemade and impressively high-caliber show during which astute wordsmiths (including a crew of beloved regular punsters) spin clever and very funny puns to a packed house.”

The New York Times: “The ultimate night of silliness for anyone whose puns are always intended, this tournament-style wordplay contest takes the energy of a bar trivia night and applies it to pun making.”

GQ Magazine: “The Five Funniest Nights in America”

F’D in PARK SLOPE: “All that audience participation makes for a pretty riled up crowd. You might think a wordplay show would be sedate — but it’s more like the groundlings, flinging commentary at the stage.”
